Cornea

Cornea is the transparent, dome-shaped tissue covering the front of the eye. It is like the watch glass of a wristwatch. Cornea is a powerful refracting surface and provides about 2/3rd of the eye’s focusing power.
Cornea is prone for drying, infections and inflammations. Can also get abraded.
Superficial lesions heal quite quickly while deeper ones heal with a scar, an opacity that might need grafting.
EYE DONATION:
The eyes have to be harvested as soon as it is possible, preferably within 2 hours, though it's acceptable to be taken in 6 hours
